The single most arrogant group of people I have come across in my 30 years of visiting Mt. Snow. While waiting we wittnessed a hostes scold a customer for not hearing her name called. No food on the planet worth tolerating their customer service. Black listed in our family.

I would love to review the food, but I practically died of starvation waiting. The place is very, very slow. We waited about 40 minutes for a table then waited another 45 minutes for our food. I understand that the place was busy, however, over an hour wait for pancakes and eggs seems a little ridiculous.

I make a better breakfast without really trying. Coffee was weak and they deep fry their breakfast links! What really sets this place apart is the rude, slow and overall terrible service. Honestly - stay away.

This is without doubt one of the dirtiest and poorly maintained restaurants I have ever been in. The food was equally poor -below average diner breakfast. When we entered there was food and paper debris under virtually table. We could see the cook preparing food with her bushy hair and no cap or hairnet. I had two eggs with ham, home fries and toast. The eggs and toast were fine but the home fries were dried up and shriveled that looked at least a day old. The ham was second rate. My wife's pancakes were a soggy mess. Abysmal.

A couple of friends and I decided to stop and get some food on the way home from skiing at Mt. Snow and stopped into Dot's of Dover on a Sunday morning last winter. It looked like a good place to get some local food and I like to support small businesses in areas I visit. When we first walked in we noticed it was a little dirty, but we decided to give it a shot. We looked for a hostess or a greeter, but there was none to be found. After waiting a few minutes we decided to seat ourselves and took a spot by a window. The seats were uncomfortable, but the table looked at least semi clean. There were only 5 or 6 other people in the restaurant, taking up only 2 other tables, so the place was not busy at all. We saw at least 3 employees walking around and bringing out orders, so we just waited for one of them to come over since one had seen us walk in. We waited for about 20 minutes, making eye contact with one of the waitresses multiple times, yet no one every came over to greet us or give us menus. We were finally ready to go ask someone if anyone was going to come help us when a group of 4 people came in the door and sat down. The waitress walked right over to them and greeted and handed them menus. Disgusted, we got up and started walking out as one of the employees towards the back asked "oh, did you want to get some food?" That would have been a good question 20 minutes earlier, but at that point we didn't want to give them any business so we walked out and went to another diner down the road which had great food and service. I can't speak of how good or bad the food is or the price, but Dot's of Dover had some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I would not recommend anyone to go there.

Stopped in for lunch with my sister. The restaurant is spacious and nicely decorated. The staff is friendly and welcoming. My sister had a sandwich (can't remember what kind) and chips. She was satisfied. I had a brunch special that was just ok. It was a veggie omelette that alright-I probably should have had them put cheese in it. The home fries were not good- overcooked and cold. I didn't eat them. We both had lemonade which was refreshing. I'd like to give Dots 2 1/2 stars, but I'll give the 3 because the service was good and the place is inviting. Won't be racing back, though.

Dots was a nice little place very close to Mount Snow. The menu was pretty nice and the service was good. I had the Saturday special, which was a choice of Mexican food. I elected to have fajitas, which were very good. They serve breakfast all day so if you're in the mood for comfort food you can get it.

Horrible corn beef sandwich - slabs of fat with little to no meat. Might be OK for breakfast. Nice enough waitress.

My wife and I went to this place today (6/7/15) on a nice sunny morning. There were a couple of tables outside that were vacant, the inside was crowded. We asked the hostess if we could sit outside and she told us it would be easier for her if we sat inside. She proceeded to place us at a table that would have been difficult to sit one person at (we are average size people). She seemed bothered that we were even there. When we realized that the seating would not work, we went up to the station to ask AGAIN to be seated outside. Not sure if she ignored us on purpose or not, so we decided to find somewhere else to eat. Terrible service. We were not there to make things "easier for her".

Delish as always. A definite step when in West Dover. The homemade corned beef hash is unbelievable!

Clean, hot coffee, great service and very big pancakes. A solid choice for a good breakfast

Dot's is OK, but I don't think I would come here if it weren't for it's proximity to the mountain. I wish I could give the food a higher rating, as the service is very friendly and attentive. However, I think the food fell short even for a diner. Dot's is a true greasy spoon, not Mel's Diner, but certainly not anything like the Greek diners of Jersey. We went there twice during our last trip to Mount Snow. Both times for breakfast. I think the highlight was the McDot's breakfast sandwich, and not the house specialty...Cajun Skillet. Unfortunately the Cajun skillet was just too greasy which overpowered the nice spicy flavor of the peppers and sausage. Their pancakes looked tasty, but we only saw them from afar. The hash was definitely homemade, but my wife was hoping for it to be a bit more salty, not the tangy flavor that seemed to be prominent. Dot's is cash only, and will get you out fast if you are rushing to the mountain or on your way out of town. The place is pretty clean, and as I said the service is good.

This was the second time I stopped in... The breakfast specials are always good and the French Toast & pancakes are amazing! Service is not best but the coffee makes up for it.

Love this place. We have brunch here every day when we're in town. Great food and staff.

Basic diner food. Staff is a little cranky and not the most pleasant - but I can imagine that the ski crowd can get irritating after a while. We came with a big group and ordered everything on the menu - favorite were the chocolate chip waffles, the buffalo chicken wrap, and the omelet.

Fun wait staff, and great home style food at great prices. The breakfast is what they do best.

This place is brutally slow. BRUTALLY slow. Waitresses are all off in la la land. Took 54 minutes to get eggs Benedict. No wonder this place's average is so low. Awful.

Bit surprised on some of the negative reviews here. My boyfriend and I eat at Dots at least a few times a season, and when in VT we rarely spend a weekend without stopping by. The food is reliably good and besides having excellent breakfast, Dots has some stand out dinner items which are also excellent. The chili is really, really good and I've also had good burgers, french fries, breakfast platters, and salads. Never really had a bad meal no matter what I've ordered. For breakfast, the corn muffin french toast is amazing. Wait staff is also very friendly and accommodating. You start to recognize the same faces after awhile and it makes the place feel like home. Dots also does breakfast all day now, which is great if you're looking for a hearty meal after skiing. It's true that they don't accept credit cards, but there is an ATM right up front. Overall, great value and a staple of the area. Worth the visit.

Absolutely AMAZING food. Great prices too. While skiing at Mount Snow my family ate here 2 of the 4 nights, though we would've been happy eating there all four. The service was so friendly and so quick. All in all Dots is a grand slam. We LOVE it there and will no doubt stop by again if nearby. Wish there were more stars to give.

If breakfast is the most important meal of the day, then Dots needs to be re-educated. While the restaurant may be a homey spot for locals, I believe most visitors (snowboarders and skiiers) come here for pre-mountain fuel. The breakfast fare is standard, but the execution is a mixed bag. Avoid any of the french toast (regular or special), as they are pieces of bread that are very "eggy"; think of scrambled eggs on toast. The big breakfast is hearty. Steak and eggs? Meat was not cooked properly but it wasn't worth sending back and waiting for a replacement. If there is a wait, there is complimentary coffee available. Once seated the water jug we got for the table was dirty. The waitresses are nice, but it's obvious this restaurant can't handle a full breakfast service. Service, is slow. Dots of Dover is one of those necessary evils when you visit in Mount Snow if you want breakfast that's not from 7-11. I only come because my group of friends want a sit-down diner style meal. I prefer 7-11. Cash only. IFHTP 3+

service - just ok with a side of grumpy food - the food that others I was with ordered looked decent ... I on the other hand ordered the corned beef hash because the menu said "homemade corned beef hash" ... it was canned hash .. if your going to give me canned hash, at least grill it up so it's hot and slightly crispy ... it was luke warm. I heard from a local that dots in Wilmington is really good / better than Dover

Best breakfast place in west Dover. Betsy and her staff are on the same page, fast efficient and personable. Good food at a good price.

Love Dot's - many good memories. Used to be a ski coach at Mt Snow, so ate in here loads of times. Now am far from Dot's (in NC). Good breakfast (usual diner offerings) and fantastic grilled cheese. A real slice of southern VT culture. Please be relaxed and nice to the waitstaff - they'll return the favor. I think the reason for poor reviews of the waitstaff is that the sometimes gruff/ rough attitude of the NY (and surrounding area) crowd is a bit out of place in West Dover. Things do move at a slower pace here and it's common for people to greet one another/ chat before blurting out their order. Great, welcoming atmosphere.

The food was ok. The service was attentive but underperforming. Cash only!!! My friend couldn't get his meatloaf because they were out. Okay, but I wouldn't come back voluntarily.

Usually come here for breakfast on yearly trip to Mt Snow. The coffee is good with unlimited refills but the quality of the food and service is highly variable. Yesterday I tried the cheese grits, added sauteed mushrooms and a poached egg on top- the grits were crunchy and the grated parmesan cheese wouldn't melt, the mushrooms and egg saved me with a side of canadian bacon and I stole my friends wheat toast (they use fat slices of fresh bread which was pretty tasty). This morning I ordered the mediterranean omelet (tomatoes, artichokes, onions and feta - yums) with another side of canadian bacon - this meal was significantly more satisfactory however our water pitcher was dirty. But the place itself is very sunny with lots of windows, very comfy and can accommodate large groups.

I've been coming to Dots since I was a little kid and think this place is just Vermont charm at its finest. Sure, it's not out of Normal Rockwell, this is real Vermont. I went to the Wilmington location more frequently than this one, name because its been around for a shorter amount of time. However, I always appreciated the pancakes, the famous chili and the sweet waitstaff. Go and try it on a rainy, or windy day, and you won't be disappointed.

We were staying in a nearby hotel and stopped here for dinner. It was disappointing. The service was slow and the food was mediocre. My "flatbread pizza" was made on one of those flavorless rectangular flatbreads from the grocery store and there was something weird about the cheese (it didn't melt and had no flavor). Also, my partner and I ordered one portion to split but the waitress brought - and charged us for - two. And they were out of beer. On the bright side, they have Doctor Who pinball and an old-school Pacman arcade game. I would have enjoyed our stop here more if we'd had quarters.

My friends and I were staying at Mt. Snow for the weekend and were in search of some dinner food and came across Dots of Dover. Dots features standard fare for breakfast. There wasn't really anything noteworthy that stood out. They seem to do well handling large groups of people. The food was tasty, warm, and relatively fast. They DO NOT take credit cards, though they do have an ATM for those unprepared (like me) for that sort of situation.

dots diner seems like a fairly welcoming family business but so wrong. decor is like a 1940's horrow show with servers that don't even know their own menu! and it isn't to convincing when you walk in to aand its totally dead and all the server does is tweet on her phone and not serve you for 20 minutes! thinking that the jukebox decor would lift the spirits i placed 50cents in and waited to here abc by mj, instead appearently it broke 7 years ago. so while me and my friend our calling the server of course she's just tweeting and ignoring us. and i ordered a prime rib the whole thing was fat worst meal ever. and he bill was 50 dollars for 4 people. never go here its for your own sake!!!!!

The worst breakfast I ever had. The service was snotty didn't get anything right brought me only two orders when ordered three but a blessing because nobody ate it anyway the pancakes tasted like batter plus I found a hair in my eggs and when I told the service they gave me a free dots soda that tasted gross also. Thank god for the girl scout cookies in the hall or I wouldn't have had anything to eat. Oh and the secret syrup is eggo syrup that they kept right near the silverware station in plain view. If you want a real breakfast there is a Dots which I found out is the original Dots on Main street and this food was amazinggggggg the service was the best and you just need to go there to see what I am talking about.

We went the wrong way on Rt. 100 on our way to Stratton Mtn. and I was famished. We saw Dot's, and, to our delight, it was open, not busy, and very cute inside. Another person and I ordered the Reuben sandwich, and it was soggy on the bottom (possibly from the corned beef?) which was unpleasant, but the meal was satisfying. The fries were great, and our table got a pitcher of water (which I love). We ordered a cup of the Jailhouse Chili, which was tasty and chunky. The service was great, and the food came quickly. I might not recommend this as a must-experience place to eat, but it was perfectly acceptable for our purposes.

decent place very close to Mt. Snow. On a slow Thursday afternoon after hiking through the snow, it was easy to enjoy the experience of a hearty burger/soup combo and watching the snow along Rt. 100. Convenient & reasonable.

Dirty, dirty coffee cups... Good for locals maybe? But only if you think dirt in your coffee is ok. The service is terrible - rude and inattentive servers make the experience evn worse than the food. Avoid this place like the plague!

Good food. Great people working here. Nice atmosphere. Wireless internet. What's not to like? Re the complaints: If you have a problem with Dot's, it says everything about you and nothing about the restaurant.
